World of Warcraft Upgrades and Item Upgrading

Upgrades can boost the value of armors, weapons and rings. Upgrades also boost bonuses like crit chance and PvE Damage.

If the weapon's upgrade template is %, it will increase 3% of its previous damage for every time it is upgraded.

Item upgrading costs crests and the current level of the item upgrader mod. The cost increases with the item's level.

Components

Upgrade components can be added to weapons, armor and trinkets to provide them with a boost in stats or an extra effect. These can be obtained by crafting, purchasing from vendors, Item Upgrading trading with other players, or item upgrading looting. Some upgrades have special cosmetic effects.

Upgrade components can be placed in equipment that has a slot to accommodate them. The item must be at a minimum upgraded to blue level to allow a component to be used. Upgrade components, unlike other modifications, can only be applied once. They are not able to be replaced or applied multiple times. Infusions and enrichments are a special kind of upgrade component that is that is designed for non-amulet ascended and legendary equipment, as well as some of the non-ascended back items. Infusions and Enrichments can be obtained by salvaging ascended equipment or completing a quest in the Prophecies, Factions, and Nightfall campaigns.

An upgrade can be prefixed or a suffix, modifying the name of the equipment with which it is used (for instancefor example "Canthan Armor Insignia is changed to Canthan Armor of Minor Vigor). Some upgrades boost the Mark Level or Rarity, allowing players make stronger versions of the equipment with the smallest amount of Upgrade Crystals than are required to reach the same level of upgrade using normal methods.

A boost upgrade can alter the attack or defense attributes of an armored weapon or. After the player has completed the cutscene and defeated Crazed Mechanist, these upgrades can be made at the Portative Forging Station. These upgrades can be purchased by purchasing them in the cash shop or by getting them from enemies while upgrading other equipment.

The player can have up to five boost upgrades at a time. Each upgrade increases the likelihood that a higher-level version of the item will appear at the time of the next reset. This gives players an incentive to upgrade their gear, even in the event that they don't know how much it will be improved after a reset.

The process of upgrading an item can be costly, and it is possible that the item will eventually become obsolete, or even break, when the upgrade is unsuccessful. Upgrade Crystals and assist powder are also destroyed if the upgrade fails. This is alleviated by the availability cash shop items that can double or even eliminate the possibility of failure, and a few upgrades that give an additional benefit when they are inserted into an item.

Glyphs

Glyphs can be used to improve the Paragon Board by placing them in special sockets. Glyphs buff the power of all nodes within the area around them as well as existing affixes on equipment. Glyphs are upgraded in a variety of ways, and we suggest getting them to level 15 as soon as possible.

You will often find in the final game that placing Glyphs is the best way to upgrade your gear. They are the only upgrade component that can be upgraded directly to level 15 and provide a large boost to your power and radius on the Paragon Board, enabling you to climb higher nodes more quickly.

Most of the upgrades in the game can be replaced however, Glyphs are only the one upgrade component that can be removed and put back in place without restrictions. The only exception is legendary equipment that requires a Black Lion Salvage Kit to salvage and replace.

Each Glyph has a particular range of values that can enhance a stat by, and the value is shown when you choose the Glyph in your inventory. You can replace it with a different Glyph of the same rank or a higher rank, which will increase the overall value of the glyph.

You can find Glyphs in the Black Lion Trading Post, as part of a Gem Store purchase or bundle with certain tools for gathering unlimited use as well as through Faction Crypt raids. Every Faction Crypt could drop one of these Glyphs. There are some rare glyphs that you can find in any of the Faction Crypts.

After you have acquired the desired Glyphs you'll require them to be placed on your gear. Each Glyph unlocks a bonus that will boost a specific set of stat nodes within a radius around the Glyph. This will either be +40 for one of your primary stats or +25 for two of your secondary stats depending on the Glyph.

Using Glyphs Glyph can boost all nodes that are linked to it, so it is recommended to position your Glyphs close to key nodes on the Graph to maximize the impact. Druids, for example should position their Glyphs close to their primary damage nodes. They may also consider placing them near their primary damage nodes.

Leveling

The item upgrading system allows players to improve the performance of certain items by placing upgraded components in them. This is often referred to as "upping". Every upgradeable item is assigned a level which determines the final stats. Upgraded items can be upgraded up to a maximum level of 385 ilvl. Each level of an item requires different components, and the cost of upgrading increase with each level.

Certain upgrades require a certain ingredient to activate. This ingredient can be obtained by completing Upgrade Recipes. These recipes are available in the upgrade tab of a crafting table or bought from NPCs. Each completed Upgrade Recipe earns several Technology Points. These points can be used to leveling up an item. Once enough points are earned you'll be eligible to claim the upgrade and also receive the bonuses.

When the player upgrades an item it is replaced with a new item of the same type. The same armor will be upgraded to a weapon or a shield when upgraded. The new item comes with its own set bonus. This could be a disadvantage, as the item can become more expensive even if you do not require it.

If the player has enough tokens they can roll item upgrades. This will cause the item to be traded for a new one, which will have an initial level and a different set of extra bonuses. This can be beneficial, but should not be repeated often since it could waste resources.

Certain upgrades can increase their value and allow players to modify their gear. Dolphin's Gift is a good example, as it provides buffs when the player continuously enters or leaves the water. This can be upgraded several times, each time raising the max roll by 10 points. This item is very valuable in PvP. A properly rolled version could be worth 50 times the value of the unupgraded counterpart.

Requirements

Item upgrading allows players to increase the level of their available equipment--armor, weapons, and trinkets over ilvl 385 by providing the appropriate items and currency to an NPC that upgrades items. Upgrading armor set pieces will also increase the base defense of the item, and upgrading weapon items will increase the base damage and required strength and dexterity to match the requirements of the upgraded equipment.

All items can be upgraded a maximum of five times, with the exception of hero gear that can be upgraded with eight upgrades. Each when you upgrade an item it has an opportunity to fail. The rate of failure increases as you go over the maximum number of upgrades. Failures will result in the item reverting to its initial state, which will force the user to spend more materials than they would had they stopped upgrading at the highest number of upgrades.

If an item fails to upgrade the amount of experience in its growth bar is reset to zero. The item level upgrade also loses any bonuses it earned like the chance to crit damage to attack, other effects (such as a higher healing rate over time or the speed of reloading). The player will be able to use their weapon or armor even after the failure.

If an item is upgraded the upgrades are applied from the lowest to the highest. This means that when a weapon is upgraded, if it gains a crit chance increase, the increase will be applied prior to any attack damage increases. Slots is a brand-new attribute that has been added to item definitions. The value is calculated every time an upgrade occurs.

The amount of resources needed to upgrade an item is determined on the rarity rating and the number of upgrade slots. The cost of upgrading non-premium equipment is equal to its value. For instance an item of common use could have five upgrades at a cost of. 25,600 Technology Points and 4x Quality Improvement Chance. Hero quality items will have a much lower cost for each additional upgrade.

Premium items have different upgrade requirements in comparison to standard equipment. For instance, they might require fewer sowels, but they will require more minerals and erons. The player will still need to carry each piece of gear they want to upgrade to the NPC [Armor] Boboko located in Central Flarine. In addition to the upgrade costs listed above, each equipment upgrade will require the use of different ingredients for upgrading.
