Path of Exile Item Upgrading

The ability to upgrade items allows players to improve their weapons and gear by adding new affixes, boosting its stats base or providing additional benefits. To upgrade an item, a player has to have it in their inventory and have access to the kiln.

Items with weak bases, like rings can be upgraded to stronger bases. Items with strong bases, such as eth Titans have little change in their stats.

Upgrade components can be slotted into weapons, armor, trinkets and gathering tools, providing an attribute bonus or additional impact when the equipment is used.
