Top Rated Robot Vacuums

A robot vacuum can keep floors clean enough to reduce the frequency at which you'll need to manually vacuum bot. Choose one that has excellent navigation, is able to clean corners and stairs and also has a large dust bin that requires emptying only periodically.

1. iRobot Roomba i3+ EVO

The i3+ EVO and its sibling, the i3 EVO are the same robots that differ only in that the i3+ has self-emptying capabilities. The i3+ is a good option for those who want an automated, hands-free cleaning experience but are willing to manually empty the dustbin of the robot when it is full.

Both robots are good in removing dirt and dust particles on floors and carpets and are able to move around furniture and other obstacles. iAdapt navigation software creates smart map of your home to aid the i3+ in its navigation and clean up efficiently. The i3+ isn't able to have obstacle avoidance capabilities like the i7+ or other top-rated robots we have tested. It can be stuck on power cords or socks and have difficulty navigating between different surfaces like rug and hardwood.

iRobot recommends clearing areas in which the i3+ EVO will vacuum before you use it, including getting rid of any clutter or toys it might encounter. You should also keep the filters and dust bin clean to prevent them from becoming clogged. When the i3+'s internal bin is full or the battery is empty it goes back to its docking station, automatically empties its dirt into the station's dust bin and continues cleaning the area where it started. The i3+ EVO's battery lasts for approximately an hour and a half of continuous use, and it takes around three hours to recharge.

2. iRobot i7+ Roomba

The iRobot i7+ is the top model in iRobot's flagship line and comes with the latest features. It has self-charging and self-navigating. However, the most important feature is its auto-emptying bin. This eliminates the need for routine maintenance.

The Roomba I7+ is able to better map rooms with Imprint Smart Mapping. It also works with the iRobot Home app to let you schedule cleaning tasks and control your robot using voice or via the app.

In our testing the i7+ performed more agile and faster than our top choice, the eufy RoboVac G30, and it picked up large pieces of pet hair from all surface kinds including carpeting. The biggest benefit over the eufy it self-empties its dust bin which eliminates a major source of maintenance and cuts down on recurring costs.

We were also impressed by the i7+'s compatibility with Amazon Alexa or Google Assistant AI services. We used these services to instruct the robot to begin, stop, or pause cleaning sessions as well as move around the room, and vacuum a particular area. The iRobot Home App made it easy to connect the i7+ to these services. After connecting we were able to use the i7+'s voice commands, such as "Hey Alexa, vacuum the master bedroom." The iRobot Home app also provides options to manage the i7+'s preferences and monitoring its performance.

3. Dyson Cyclone V10

In a world full of cordless vacs that are like minivans and buses, this small Dyson model feels like a sports car. It has the power and features to replace a stand-up vacuum in the majority of households, but it also fits in well next to a coffee table or on the bookshelf, that you can spin around like a magic wand.

The V10 is powered with a 7-cell energy-dense Lithium-ion battery that produces power that is not fading for 60 minutes. The Xiaomi Mi robot is superior in many ways to the Roomba 694 in that it has less parts that require regular cleaning, is equipped with an allergen-trapping HEPA filtration system, incurs lower cost of recurring costs and has more advanced automation capabilities and is better able to move its own. It also has a larger dustbin and is charged faster.

The RoboVac X8 is a slick RoboVac X8 is superior to the Roomba 694 for most purposes, because it has a longer battery life, the ability to change the suction power mode by hand and has physical boundary strips, and can be controlled by your smartphone's voice assistant. It is also more durable, has a stronger motor, and is more effective on low-pile and bare floors.

5. Samsung Jet Bot AI+

Samsung is a well-known brand in the field of home electronics. It's no surprise, then, that they are also among the top producers of robot vacuums and mop. Jet Bot AI+ has an advanced onboard technology that allows to navigate and avoid obstacles.
